IPhone and Samsung

What is the difference between Apple and Samsung phones? They are both great smartphone brands. The Apple brand has been very successful, but lately Samsung is making a comeback with its A-series of devices. And I thought about buying an iPhone 13 Pro Max this time. Then I remembered something that happened to me earlier.

I had an iPhone 12 and when it was new, my f

amily and I were watching a movie on our TV and suddenly my dad saw that he needed to take it off a wall and plug it in again! It was so sad and frustrated for him. But now that I've experienced such bad luck, I want to protect myself from going through such a situation. So I bought the 2-in-1 phone and I'm looking forward to using it more and more! I'll be very happy if you buy one of these too.

So let's go into what makes an iPhone and how you can distinguish it from others.

What Is an iPhone? Basically, an iPhone stands for "iPhone". It came first as a device designed to deliver a portable computer to its owners, although some people say that an iPod actually predated. In fact, iPod didn't exist until 1998. At that point, there wasn't any competition between Mac and Windows. However, Apple continued its history by adding other models that would eventually become widely known as smartphones, tablets, laptops, computers, smart TVs, etc. However, the initial model was named iPhone because it included just two components at launch. Although they did have an IPad (which is similar to another touchscreen tablet) initially launched in 2010, the first version had a screen resolution smaller than today's standard, which limited the use of multitasking due to the lack of touch screen capability. An even bigger problem as far as Apple was concerned was battery life. The main reason why the company replaced those who could not do much, like media, with ones who could use their hands and fingers (like professionals), was to give them the ability to run applications quickly and seamlessly.

With those reasons in mind, why would Apple need to make all their products different, or rather different enough from each other? There were several reasons, but most of them revolved around market demands. Since Apple sold so many devices, companies could only keep up with them. This means that there needs to be a way to differentiate your device from the competitors' so you'd be able to get more customers. Additionally, in order to expand the user base and increase profits, Apple wanted to focus less on innovation, more on the design and user experience. With no differentiation, competitors have access to everything and the price is higher as well as features. Hence, the decision was made to create a differentiating factor with every brand.

From the beginning, the name 'iPhone' was chosen in homage to the founder's father, who came up with the idea of connecting wires and using an electromagnetic connection by means of radio waves. He also worked under IBM, where his engineering research focused on designing computers at high speed that used wireless networking technology for data transfer, as well as voice communication. For example, Apple uses Wi-Fi technology for their devices. According to Forbes, this is important due to the fact that consumers prefer having a device that works wirelessly. Therefore, choosing the word 'Wireless' is a good choice to create a separate identity. Another thing that helped Apple differentiate themselves from competitors was their unique design. As seen in figure 1 below, the iconography changes depending on the color scheme. Nowadays, iPhones from Apple look pretty much exactly the same as their predecessors, except for the colors.

But, does everyone know about the iPhone 14 mini? Yep, some do. Because it shares a lot of similarities to the previous versions, including a flat display, glass panels, dual rear cameras, 5G connection, improved audio quality thanks to Dolby Audio+ and M1 chip. However, this year's model comes equipped with an updated version of iOS 16 (11) and a better chipset. If you're looking for an affordable yet powerful flagship for your money, then it's best not to miss out on this new generation. It will also change the game when talking about the future of mobile computing. It is expected to come in white, blue, black and burgundy shades. As such, I believe it may become the next big thing from Apple and will revolutionize smartwatches and other IoT technologies alike.
